Hello! just squeezed this spitfire IX out, its painted with photoshop artrage and painter, I added brush strokes and details using the best tools in each program (or the tools I can handle hehe)

took about 3 working-days and I beleive its much shorter time than with traditional medium,

WOW! That is very impressive. It does look as if you have painted it on canvas with oils.

Outstanding work!

That is VERY nice Capt.FlushGarden! Really impressive.

I think a header should be in order for this lovely piece of artwork! (guys?)

:salute:

Very nice mate. Indeed looks very oil painterly.

Some minor comments:
- pilot's headrest is missing
- left wing has a twisted look to it
- prop could do with more blur

Great stuff overall tho!

That's awesome!

If I may, my only crit. is the scale of the pilot, he seems a tad small for the cockpit, apparently it was quite tight sitting in the Spit's.

I totally agree with you, but unfortunately, due to forum rules (and the incredible regularity of Flush's work!) we need to have a few other posts headered first.

Also note the amount of aircraft we already have on the header. CGTalk started to annoy me a long time agao cause they always promote character art. Personally, I don't want ship and tank modellers to feel this is an aircraft forum... Need to keep a balance.

Poor flushy, a victim of his own success, hahaha

Very nice mate, I hate you... you can do 20 of yours in the time it took me to do my spitfire....beh

:( It's worth a header for me! At least I can give it 5 stars...

Superb artwork as always John, there's been some excellent new posts recently....maybe the header slots should be doubled:D

O alrighty then: Welcome to the Header
Deserved too, I must say. We just need more tanks and boat folks! Or they need to work harder ;)

well deserved header John:)
Instead of running the header congratulations committee (tm), why don't you go and show us your wing ;)

Aaw thanx for the header guys! Really appreciate it!, and also thanx for the kind replies! as you can se I updated the spit when I received crits, and I hope its somewhat OK now when it comes to pilot size and main perspective... i think i'm gonna keep it this "sketchy" otherwise I'll kill it more!

Cheers!

John
