This is the USS Missouri BB63 as she appeared in WWII. I will both model and texture this huge thing.

Currently the front 1/3 of the ship is done excluding the hull as I just havn't done anything with it yet. I'm starting the work on the super structure but this will take awhile as there is alot of detail in that area.

If you want to see something by itself without everything else just tell me and I will post more pics.

Also using your the refereance linked on this site some places will be getting refised maybe even the whole ship we will see, depends on how far off I am.

and as a another side note, after seeing the work done here I will have to rework some areas anyway :P (yea for having no poly count)

as another note: WIP

the full ship here you can see nearly everything.

This is the bridge area, you can also see the 5inch guns and more 40inch AA

pics should work now, should being the key word.

No they're working now. Looks like you're doing a good job there! Are you planning on applying a bevel to some of those hard edges at some point?

aye of course but that will be one of the last steps, as that will nuke the poly counts :P

perhaps you should host your files on MM

you can upload them trough the forum when posting

nuking the polycount is what its all about my friend ;)

yea I will do that next time. heh. yea I'm not really worried about the poly count, I just need to fix somethings first before I get back to detailing.

atm there are none, this is a large project and I need some time away from it, though yes I will finish it :)

i do prefer beveling while working on objects i hate to go back in and do such things later btw
battleships always consume a huge amount of time boredome strikes when you have to go back and add stuff to things you already modeled

Got to agree with that.
I try to do everything as I go now.
I ditched my first big project when I realised I'd stuck myself with stacks of mapping to do. Now I finish each part as a complete model and let the finished bits add up.

I'll sign up to that method too. I think in future I'll do as you suggested Spinner and try doing the mapping in stages.

Looking forward to seeing more of the Missouri BTW.
