hey , here is my entry.
first
I'm not going for the photo-realistic look.
I'm trying to develope a different sort of look , hope you like the 2d feel of it.
Project was mainly for texturing purpose only.
Everything is hand painted.

I get the impression its a low poly model by looking at it. Not sure why? I do like the "scaling" at the edges and the faded spade. I think more colors are needed, looks like there are only 3 or 4 colors for the whole model. May try flattening all your colors, curious what kind of effect that would do. Nice texturing, I know how much work that can be. Cheers

It somehow reminds me of cast pewter, but I like it :)

u get the idea of lowpoly because the texture is reused on simular objects

Also the images aren't renders, they appear to be screen shots from within the application.

Not sure I'm keen on these textures. They appear to give the impression that the tank is actually stone. The bumping is a little too severe. I would lessen it slightly to smooth it. Even old paint is still relatively smooth when it's painted over metal.

My eye wants to decypher the texture as mud or dirt on a metal or painted surface showing through or paint with the metal coming through. Either way it wants other colouring.
Theres a crap war vehicle museum near me where the owner brushed silver paint over everything, mud n all. That just looked not quite right to my eye too.
I'd like the result more if the silver was more iron.

It wasn't my initial intention to create a 1 : 1 representation of a photograph.
Its get boring after a while.
If you wanna see my older work , feel free to pm me.

But idd now u have really convinced me that it looks kinda look stone.

I'm gonna leave it alone now , i have other priorities and real life obligations to commit.
I'm take it this project to the freezer.

The top images is a render / composition.
I rarely render my models & textures at once , it's simply not efficient.

I render each attribute for example specular/highlights , color/diffuse , occlusion , shadows on a separate layer.
Aftwards compositing in photoshop.
Anyways if you start unwrapping and painting your textures you will understand why its so efficient.

Well on the top most render , it looks a lot like its coming out of the freezer :-)
