Absolutely stunning.

The wisps of the shells as it comes into the turbulent air behind the bomber is fantastic. The engine explosion seems to lack ferocity, I think it should be bigger and more violent, but the feathering and stopping of the engine is superb.

The gunnery effects are nice (are these 3D or added in post?) and the camera movements aren't too bad. But it's painfully obvious the background is a static photo. Also the aircraft models, in particular the Heinkel, aren't very accurate. For instance the Heinkel 111 has an eliptical fuselage while yours is rather boxy.
The gunflashes from the He 111 are nice, but remove the tracers or make them a lot smaller.

well... I have to say.. that even though the BG is static, and the models aren't accurate, I do think your animation is pretty good... howver, why aren't any of the other HE111's shooting at him as well???

good soundtrack too....

yeh the belly gunner would have a clear shot at you from there, hes asleep lol... the fhurer would not be pleased. i agree with the engine explosion, also i would love to see i pilot hold that range and position while within range of enemy aircraft, the thing about staying level comes to mind :)

Could the camera viewpoint move with the attack? It's weird to have the cannon shells going through the audience. Same with the debris coming back into you.
Is the spit we glimpse the shooter or wingman?
I feel the viewer should be put in a clear role of watcher or participant. So, we either attack and the camera moves with that overtaking and veering off motion synched with the cannon fire, or we stand off and watch with the camera more positioned diagonly from present view and without being shot through.
Just my 20c. Its coming along.

Very good! Agree with the above C and C though, but you made it feel pretty real, and that's very hard to do.

it does have punch... that's for sure... just make it a bit more... active (and move that BG... a good idea there might be to just have wisps of cloud going past... dunno if it would help though... ) i just noticed that the HE111 off to the left and below seems to have engine trouble as well.....

Jesus, that is great work. Great detail on those fighters. I am in awe of these animations.

I agree about the animations. Great job, I love that smoke. I don't mind the static background either. And for the shape of the aircraft: Of course it is far away from 100%, but most people don't care about that. You could paint a Balkenkreuz and swastika on a 747 and JoePublic will take it without asking zat zis is a german WW2 bomber.

lol i have to admit most people in the world wouldent know half the stuff we point out, but then thats not really the point is it.. "any sufficiantly advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" the real beauty in something isnt to fool the people who dont know.. its to fool the people that do :)

If I may add something. After the engine gets hit and the HE111 drifts to the right, it looks like it bounces off the edge of the screen.

It looks beautiful though! Absolutely love it!

So nice! I like the sound. As for the engine explosion, it might be kind of cool to have oil spray back and spatter on the screen, kind of blurring it a bit. But terrific animation. love it.

This is a very nice animation; a real joy to watch over and over.
Suggestions:
The debris coming off the exploded engine is of too much similar shape and size, almost like a stick of bombs being dropped. I would vary shape and size more, not use so many pieces and alter the tragectory (while some pieces would fall into the slipstream, others could be blown outward a bit).
The suggestion of some oil splatter would look good as well.
Something I'm not real sure about is the abruptness of the propeller stopping. Seems it would spin down a bit slower.

Great work on this one!
