Damn! That's quick!
Movement looks good, but the bomber collision looks a little suspect. They fighter movements is very good and the shell casing ejections adds authenticity. Nicely done.

I've been watching this develop at 3D Attack. It's absolutely superb - although I do think the bomber movement is still very slightly off. I wouldn't like to comment too much about that though!

what i think is throwing people off is the motion of that bomber as it hits the wire. bear in mind this is just my personal thaught, but im pretty sure that when the bomber hit that wire it would have shuddered, along with the loss of a whole engine would have made it look like it twisted a little in the air, just for a frame or two till the 2nd engine took up the strain. i have to run it over in my mind, but the thing thats striking me is the slowness that the bomber moves. at that altitude things happen pretty fast, but i think the major irk is that the aircraft hardly moves or changes as the wire rips a whole wing out. i could be talking rubbish, just trying to help :D looks ace though

Thats a hell of a challenge to get the barrage baloon wire collision right. My hat's off to you.
The baloon would definately move.
There was one wartime device, where the wire slid down the wing and was caught and cut by a cartridge fired wire cutter. Your 110s are of lighter construction than a big bomber but I'd still expect it to drag wire and baloon to a noticeable degree before the forces stripped the wing off.
Action packed animation!

Yeah I think the lack of give in the cables is whats throwing me there. The balloon definitely needs a sudden jerking movement when the plane hits the cables...

I can only marvel at this. This is ........... FREAKIN AMAZING!!!!!!!
That was cool when that bomber's wing gets blown off. Sweet explosions. Maybe try working on the background; it seems that it is just sitting there and not coming closer.
This sequence was made as a test to see if i could make a cityscape that wouldn't look out of place in my He111 film. I didn't expect to succeed, but i think it did, which is gonna add a whole different dimesnsion to my short film.. For a start i'm gonna have to go from daylight to dusk, which considering the lack of fuel of the german fighters, is gonna be hard to pull off (ideas please?).
This, as with my He111 anim, was done as tests for techniques, from rendering, clouds, tracers, manouvering, lighting, explosions, damage, debris the list goes on..
I'm not sure either of the two shots will be in the final animation, for one there is just too much going on in this city shot.
I will know better when i throw my animatic version to the proverbial wolves of con. critisism..

what do you mean? about the daylight to dusk thing, i know the german fightes wouldent really be hanging arround but it doesnt really take long to change. above london the sky hardly changes, depends on the weather though. but it tends to go from grey to slightly greyer. if you want to get flash you could get a touch of pink light dancing over the clouds but im afraid were not really one for our fancy light tansitions.
sorry couldent help it... had to see if i clicked the "GO ADVANCED!" button my computer would turn into some kind power ranger thingy

two sets of fighters??? one that's a bit... late???
the balloon would absolutely move.. and the wire might even break at that speed...
your stuff looks great....

When i come back to this part of the animation i will certainly break the wire, maybe even move the balloon..
With all this attention on this part of the animation i might even run this part through a dynamics simulator to see what it comes up with..
But that won't be for a while.

Well, its a touch of the WW2 thing thats been beyond directors reach, 'till now. Bound to attract attention if only for its novelty, and then the speed of your treatment gives it great drama, visual impact.
Fantastic.
Is it just me or does the 109 and 110 appear to decelerate at the same rate, when the 110's wing is ripped off?
