a pretty good beginning... but... the prop blur needs work (on this page about Halfway down...
http://www.military-meshes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72
the reflection is a bit too high maybe... the overall lighting doesn't match the BG... and your shadows need work.. they are way too blurry and should be more "specific"
but certainly a great beginning...

Pretty cool render and nice subject matter.
Agree prop blur needs work and the plane needs some shadows cast by the wings and tailplane, inside the cowl etc. Perhaps give Skyraiders e-light a try for some GI. See 3D tips best of in the obstacle course for more lighting tips.

Very nice subject.
Set the out-of-range controller for your propeller animation to "relative repeat" and set its rotation to linear. It will look a lot better.
The angle of the aircraft doesn't work with this background. I suggest you rotate it so you look at it from the bottom, rather than the top. It should help making it more realistic :)

In that case he's about to stall, crash and burn :)

thanks for the replies!
i think im going to mess around with the camera a bit, but what i cant really get is the lighting, i tried all night to setup the directional light but i cant get it to look right, its seems the light in the photo is coming from the left because of the houses' shadows, but...once i render the scene, it looks weird.
about the prop i already changed it for a disk.

Nice subject! The model looks pretty solid. For the lighting, also look at the clouds as to where your light is coming from. You definately need a more orange light source, yours seems too white. Looking at the beams on the wings, I'd say your light comes from behind the plane, it should come from the front though. Notice how the back of the house has no direct lighting at all? Hope to see another render!

I agree angle is a lot better but the underside of the aircraft has too much light and should be more in shadow. Propellor needs more work, it needs to be darker in the middle of each blade and fade out towards the edges.
Render is coming along nicely though.

Propellor needs more workIndeed, you used the wrong setting for the blur I think. Don't use Image Blur, use Object Blur instead.

I agree, this angle works way better. Now we can also see your nice detail for the engine. You're getting there, keep at it!

not a major update, but the lighting looks better...I'd say that's quite an improvement! Good job.
