i added some armament stuff and other small details..
got a strange smoothing error on the engine intake cone and don't know why

How many poly this modell ?
Can you show a wire picture ? How do you know smooth the model, that the polygon number does not increase drastically?

hey,
thanks for your compliments and interest. Here is a wire..
right at the moment it has about 10000 Tris. I'm planning to extend the Tri Count to about 25000. It's just a "basic shape" at the moment.

Did you sort the smoothing error out? If not, try clearing the smoothing groups and manually assigning a new one, that might help.
