After being stationed in Omaha, for the last 3 years, I finally had a chance to get down to the SAC Museum, just outside of Lincoln. While a fairly small museum, compared to say the UDVAR-HAZY Center or the Air & Space Museum, in Ohio, they have a very nice selection of aircraft, including the a B-36, B-57, and of course the B-58. (They also have a F-117 and a Avro Vulcan, both in restoration currently).
Using the photos I was able to take, I'm starting a 2nd round of work, on my B-58, which will focus on shader development and then adding the cockpit interiors. Once those are done, I'll look at the landing gear.
I think I have the polished metal stressed skin, pretty well represented, so the next step, is going to be trying to get the skin to look less uniform. Not necessarily had weathering, but more so that it doesn't look like it just came off the assembly line... so I'll be making a 2nd run to the museum, for reference photos, this coming weekend.

That is really incredible work. The talent of this community is off the charts. I'm always in awe when I see that work you all create. NIcely Done.

Great looking model of the B58 JM.
Keep working on the metallic finish. Its looking to glossy grey at the moment. If you can nail the metallic finish this will be a stunner.

Looking great Japme!
I’ve forgot what software you’re using… was it Blender?

Glad everyone likes it.
@Nils - DAZ3D Carrara 8.5 Pro (although my brother and I managed to get our hands on a education license for the latest version of C4D, so I'm starting to explore that, as well)
@kevjon - Bare polished metal always is the hardest. GRR!!!

Looks good , Glad to see some 3D life again.
Re: B-58 Hustler - Round II
So color maps are no longer "flat" shades of grey... now I just have to update the reflection and specular maps accordingly.

Beautiful work and I look forward to making art with it in Daz3D
Will you be using Iray only or include 3Dlight materials also?

I currently only use Carrara and its native shader/render architecture, so I'm not sure how well those convert over to DAZ Studio. This one is a simple enough model, that I do plan to add it to the DAZ store, but that is still a ways off.
